The Indiana Blood Center Headquarters is located in the Near North Side of Indianapolis. Over the past few years, it has experienced growth & realignment in several areas thereby creating a need to redistribute staff & functions within the headquarters building.

 

 The Blood Center contracted with Brandt Construction, Inc. & Jacobs Pannicke Architects, Inc. (JPA) to develop a Design / Build Team in order to reconfigure selected spaces & update finishes in the existing building. The third floor was reconfigured to provide a new break room along with open & private office spaces. All finishes were updated.  The project was completed in phases to allow staff to occupy portions of the floor while other areas were renovated.

 

The basement contains multiple functions including a storage area for supplies, staging & packing equipment for off-site blood drives, courier pick-up, copy center & offices for management staff. The Design / Build Team again coordinated with the owner to develop a phased construction plan to allow all work to be completed while employees occupied the space. Construction Document preparation & Construction Administration services were provided by JPA.
