The Federal Government currently offers federal tax credits for the rehabilitation of income-producing properties listed on or eligible for the National Register of Historic Places, either individually or as part of a district. Various state and local governments provide state/local tax credits through a program that mirrors the Federal program. A 10% Federal Income Tax Credit is also available for income-producing buildings that are not eligible for the National Register but were built before 1939.

Various states also recognize the significance of historic residential properties and provides tax credits for the rehabilitation of historic homes for owner-occupied properties/structures recognized on the State/Local Register of Historic Sites and Structures.

Low Income Housing Tax Credits can be utilized for buildings renovated into multi-family housing to address affordable housing needs in a particular community.

ARCHtrio can consult with property owners to complete the application process for any of the programs listed above.
