Preservation Conferences Galore

October was a busy month for the ARCHtrio team! The Preserving Historic Places Conference, sponsored by Indiana Landmarks, the Indiana Division of Historic Preservation and Archaeology, Indiana University, and Indiana Office of Community & Rural Affairs, was hosted by Madison - perfectly timed for the best of fall color in southern Indiana!

Stephen and Laurel heard from inspiring and informative speakers, reconnected with classmates and old friends, and enjoyed all Madison had to offer.

Immediately after, Pat and Laurel headed even further south for the National Trust's PastForward conference. New Orleans greeted them with the best of southern charm and hospitality - and some truly New Orleans experiences, including a second line parade!

Laurel's favorite session featured master contractors from New Orleans who discussed how they honed their crafts and were working to ensure their knowledge was passed down to new generations.
